House of Commons Study on Peacekeeping

The House of Commons Standing Committee on National Defence is currently conducting a study on Canada’s Contributions to International Peacekeeping.

WFMC president, Walter Dorn, made a presentation to the committee today, April 26th. The brief that Dorn submitted to support his presentation is available:

Complete records of the committee’s meetings are typically posted to their website within a couple of days. Audio recordings are available shortly after the meetings finish.

Additionally, WFMC hosts a site that tracks the public commitments that Canada has made towards UN peacekeeping, and what steps have been taken towards actualizing them, including a monthly update on the number of currently deployed Canadian troops within UN peacekeeping.
